The Fourth National Dialogue of Publicly Recognized Organizers of Adult Education Activities, Other Organizations and Employers took place in Vrnjačka Banja on the 12th and the 13th of October 2023. The national dialogue was organized by the Qualifications Agency, with the support of the Education to Employment (E2E) project. The event gathered over 35 adult education providers as well as representatives of relevant institutions, such as the National Employment Service.
The main goal of the Fourth National Dialogue was to present the results that have been achieved in developing and improving the system of non-formal adult education in the Republic of Serbia. During the first day of the dialogue, the accreditation procedure of non-formal adult education organizations was presented, as well as qualification standards as the basis for non-formal adult education programs. Special attention was paid to the development of training programs, as well as career guidance and counseling programs. In addition, new tools and instruments that can be used during career guidance and counseling were introduced.
The second day of the dialogue was dedicated to the presentation of quality assurance mechanisms, which primarily include the procedures of self-evaluation and external evaluation of adult education providers. The last two sessions were focused on micro-credentials, that is, on the possibility of acquiring micro-credentials through non-formal adult education as well as through higher education, on which occasion prof. Siniša Đurašević presented the results of the MicroGuide Project. A comparative overview was given between the EU framework for micro-credentials and the national education system and qualifications framework. The possibilities of further harmonization were explained, as well as their introduction into non-formal adult education and higher education, all in the context of the lifelong learning paradigm.
